Why should I join a club? Isn’t purchasing a SnoPass enough?

The Snopass program helps local clubs by providing subsidies to maintain grooming equipment, expand trails and improve existing trails.

While the Snofund does provide financial support, local clubs still rely on volunteers to maintain and groom trails. Without local clubs and their volunteers, the trails would not exist. In Oakbank the Springfield Pathfinders have been instrumental in helping to ensure that snowmobilers have access to services provided in the town through a local by-law.

What can a club do for me?

The club executive and members keep informed on what is happening in the industry and work with local governments, RCMP and business to keep the trail system in place. You can get together with others who share your interest in the sport of snowmobiling at our regular monthly club meetings, organized snowmobile rides, and several other events during the season.

How Can You Help?

You could become a club member! New members are always welcome and there are many volunteer opportunities open that require various levels of commitment – from making phone calls to trail signing to becoming a groomer operator. Come out to a meeting and check it out! Club membership includes liability insurance for all members volunteering on the trail and all volunteers are required to have membership for this reason.

You can purchase raffle tickets with proceeds supporting local clubs. Tickets are now available. To purchase raffle tickets supporting the Springfield Pathfinders Snowmobile Club contact Rene Halaiko via email to: phalaiko@rmofspringfield.ca.

You can participate in poker derbies and fundraising events held by the club.

You can make sure that you and your riding partners always ride safely, purchase trail passes, follow the rules of the trails, respect land owners, and have fun!
